In this unit students will be introduced to principles of case management, including funding sources and service delivery models. The unit explores establishment and management of human,
financial, and physical resources relevant to private practice and emerging areas of practice. Responsibilities for staff and student supervision, mentoring, and professional development, legislative
compliance, and impacts of health economics will be explored within an ethical framework. Clinical reasoning and decision making will be applied to diverse contexts using case scenarios. Students will
also be introduced to principles of coaching relevant to speech pathologist working in different service context.
