This unit develops students’ competence in the observation and assessment of people with developmental and acquired communication disorders. It introduces students to techniques for describing
and analysing parameters of communication, including the use of standardised and non-standardised assessments.

- 1 apply knowledge of human communication science to the delivery of speech pathology services and research in diverse and changing settings
